Hello!  My name is Sor. Lizbeth Hernandez and I am a Sister from the Hermanas Misioneras del Rosario de Fátima.  I am excited and honored to be the Hispanic Liturgy & Faith Formation Coordinator at St. Michael the Archangel.  In my role, I oversee the prayer and support groups for the Hispanic Community.

I was born in Mexico, and I grew up in a faith-filled Catholic family.  My two brothers and my parents live in the Chicago area.  Outside of work, I enjoy visiting new places and reading books.  My favorite scripture verse is Matthew 4:18-20.  The biblical scripture invites me to throw out the nets and go to meet those people who do not know God yet, and to those that already know Him to fall more in love with him.  The verse also has a very special meaning for me since this is the scripture reading that I discovered during my vocation to the religious life when I lived in Chicago.

I have enjoyed my time working at St. Michael, and I feel very welcomed by the parish community and staff.  I look forward to meeting you soon!
