Matt McLaughlin headshotHello! My name is Matt McLaughlin, and I am the assistant principal of St. Michael’s School. I love playing music, spending as much time in the mountains as possible, and working with my dogs (2 German Shepherds). I have been married to Heather since 2010, and we have a young daughter who has completely taken over our lives in the best possible way.

My favorite Bible story is the story of "Legion," when Jesus crosses the sea and casts out a Legion of demons from a man who had been terrorizing the town for quite some time. If even an entire army/legion of demons submit to and are afraid of the power of Jesus, we have nothing to fear, but instead have true Hope.

My favorite hymn/song is "In Christ Alone" by Keith and Kristen Getty...especially the 3rd verse: "There in the ground His body lay Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious day Up from the grave He rose again And as He stands in victory Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ" I love the moment and imagery of "bursting forth in glorious day." It gives me chills every time and makes me smile every time.

I love the people at St. Michael, especially the people I work with. The school faculty is some of the most talented group of educators I know, and they are so dedicated to their students and their craft. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
