Hello! I am Gloria Grove, the Family Case Manager for St. Michael SHARES (Serving Hope, Assistance, Resources & Emergency Support). I support individuals and families in need by connecting them with essential resources such as food, housing, and financial assistance. I also provide ongoing guidance and education like budgeting help, goal setting, and access to parenting or job-readiness programs to support each person’s journey toward lasting stability and hope.

My husband and I are new to St. Michael, having recently moved to the area. Growing up, I attended St. Thomas More in Chapel Hill with my family and actively participated in NC State's Catholic Campus Ministry during college.

Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my husband, Jake, and staying active - cycling, running, dancing, and simply being outdoors. I enjoy admiring God’s beautiful creation and find peace and serenity in nature. Jake and I love discovering new restaurants, visiting coffee shops, and exploring local parks and greenways. We feel very blessed to have my family nearby and cherish our Sunday tradition of gathering for lunch at my parents’ home each week.

One of my favorite Bible verses is 2 Corinthians 4:16-18. In this passage, Paul encourages us to “look not to what is seen but to what is unseen; for what is seen is transitory, but what is unseen is eternal.” I love this verse because it calls us to seek the eternal to seek the Lord and His wisdom in all things. It reminds us that this world is not our final home but a journey toward our ultimate destination with Our Father in Heaven. In moments of sin or suffering, we can find hope and strength; in moments of happiness and peace, we can experience a deeper joy, knowing that the glory of God in Heaven surpasses anything of this world.

It is truly a blessing to witness the Holy Spirit at work in the lives of those who come to SHARES seeking hope and assistance. I am eager to meet people from all walks of life and to greet each one with the love and compassion that Jesus Christ modeled for us.
