Hi! My name is Fr. John De Guzman and I am one of the Parochial Vicars here at St. Michael. As Parochial Vicar, my job is to assist the pastor in carrying out his vision for our parish. I do this primarily by attending to my sacramental and pastoral duties: celebrating Masses, baptisms, funerals, weddings, hearing confessions, attending to sick and emergency calls, and preparing couples for marriage. I’m also the chaplain of our St. Michael School and Preschool.

In my free time, I love to workout, go for walks, meet up with friends for a meal, listen to music, read, play video games, and play basketball.

My favorite Bible story is the Parable of the Prodigal Son, a parable that always serves as a reminder of the power of God's mercy, capable of penetrating even the darkest areas of sin, guilt, and shame that we might find ourselves in.
