My name is Dcn. Johan Salas, and I am a seminarian from the Diocese of Raleigh. I am delighted to share with you that I am entering my Pastoral Year after completing my third year of Theology at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida. I was born in Colombia and raised in a devoted Catholic family with a deep desire to serve the Church. I am the fourth of five brothers, one of whom is a diocesan priest, while another is dedicated to preaching and music ministry.

Before beginning my seminary formation, I had the privilege of studying with the Dominicans in Colombia, where I completed a bachelor's degree in philosophy and furthered my studies in theology. Throughout my discernment journey, I have held a deep love and unwavering commitment to the Church. One biblical passage that resonates profoundly within me is Revelation 3:20, serving as a constant reminder of God's invitation to open our hearts and welcome Him in. As I prepare to join your beautiful community during this pastoral year, I humbly ask for God's guidance so that every activity I engage in may contribute to the spiritual growth of the community.
