COLUMBARIUM

The St. Michael the Archangel Columbarium is a sacred and peaceful place of rest for the cremated remains of our faithful departed. Located on our parish grounds, it provides families with the opportunity to keep loved ones close to the heart of our worshiping community, a tradition rooted in the early Church.

This sacred space reflects our Christian belief in the resurrection and eternal life. As we honor the memory of those who have gone before us, we are reminded that life has changed, not ended, and that one day we will all share in the fullness of life with God.

About the Columbarium

The columbarium consists of secure niches designed to hold the cremated remains of one to three individuals. Each niche is fronted with engraved granite, creating a lasting memorial within our parish community. The area surrounding the columbarium provides a tranquil environment for prayer and reflection.

While the columbarium may not resemble a traditional cemetery, it is sacred ground dedicated as a final resting place for our parish family. Visitors, including children, are welcome to come and pray, but we ask that all who enter do so reverently.

Columbarium Vase

To leave flowers in a reverent and safe manner, aligning with the columbarium policies, we have the option of a columbarium vase that could be attached to the niche of your loved one.  Engraving needs to be completed for proper placement of the vase.

Memorial Bricks

In front of our Church main entrance, is the Memorial Bricks, where bricks can be etched to honor and remember loved ones whose remains may be elsewhere, a major milestone, etc. This space provides another meaningful way to commemorate family members and friends who have touched our lives and strengthened our faith.

Memorial Plaques

On the east side of our Church, is the Memorial Plaque Wall, where a plaque can be placed to honor and remember loved ones whose remains may be elsewhere.

Ways to Remember Loved Ones

In addition to niches, memorial bricks, and memorial plaques, parishioners may also make a contribution to the Columbarium Fund, which helps maintain the beauty and serenity of this sacred space.
