Hello! My name is Judy, and I serve in Adult Faith Formation here at St. Michael the Archangel. I support the Reach More evangelization program and assist with the needs of adults coming into the Catholic faith through the OCIA program or completing their initiation through the Adult Confirmation program. I’m a Certified Spiritual Director, trained at Divine Mercy University, and I primarily meet with directees from the Diocese of Raleigh. My greatest joy is meeting people where they are and walking with them as they grow in their relationship with our Lord and their Catholic faith.

I’ve been a parishioner at St. Michael since 2008 and have been blessed to serve in several ministries, including the Reader’s Ministry, which I lead and train, as well as the Extraordinary Minister team, the Resurrection Choir, the Gregorian Chant Choir, and the Women’s Prayer Group. I also facilitate Reach More evangelical sessions, which focus on small group formation and living out the apostolic mission of the Church.

Outside of parish life, I remain active in my community by volunteering with CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), serve as a board member for my neighborhood’s Newman Catholic Club, and enjoy offering Bible studies. I began formation as a Lay Dominican in 2008 and am now fully professed with the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapter of the Southern Province Lay Dominicans, where I help guide new inquirers. Within the Diocese of Raleigh, I also serve as an advocate for the Tribunal, lead bereavement support groups, and co-lead the monthly Triangle Women’s Morning Retreats.

I’ve authored two books: Dear God, I’m Not Ready Yet and Embracing Mary’s Hope at the Stations of the Cross. When I’m not working or volunteering, I enjoy swimming, walking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite book is the Bible, followed closely by Summa Theologica by St. Thomas Aquinas. A verse that inspires me deeply is Psalm 109:13: “With God’s help, you will do mighty things.” I believe that wholeheartedly—especially here at St. Michael, where I’ve been blessed to witness God at work in so many beautiful and powerful ways. What I love most about working at St. Michael is meeting people and walking with them as they grow in their faith and experience the joy of a deeper relationship with the Lord.
