ST. MONICA MINISTRY

ST. MONICA MINISTRY

Description

A Journey of Hope and Prayer

Do you long for your loved ones to return to the Catholic faith? You are not alone. The St. Monica Ministry is a place of hope, prayer, and support for those who carry this heartfelt desire.

Just as St. Monica never ceased praying for the conversion of her son, St. Augustine, and her pagan husband, we, too, lift up our loved ones—trusting in God's grace to lead them home. We will follow St. Monica's example with prayer, guest speakers, and mutual support to strengthen us in hope and deepen our trust in God's perfect timing. This ministry offers weekly morning and/or monthly evening opportunities. We invite you to join us!

If you have any questions, please email us at stmonica@stmcary.org.

Weekly Morning Prayer Group

The focus of this group is to pray for our families’ continued faith in God and active participation in the Catholic Church.

Times and Location:

- Every Wednesday from 9:30–10:00 am (following the 8:30 am Mass and Rosary) in the Church Parlor
- Every Saturday from 8:30–9:00 am (following the 7:30 am Mass and Rosary) in the Church Parlor, except on the 1st Saturday of the month, when the prayer group meets from 9:00–9:30 am.

If you only wish to join in prayer, please feel free to attend any of the prayer meetings.
If you would like to become a member and participate in the prayer rotation, please contact group leader Suzi De Lara at stmonica@stmcary.org.

Monthly Evening Prayer Group

We meet for a time of prayer, reflection, and fellowship. Each gathering features either a guest speaker with a Q&A session or a small-group discussion on a topic related to faith, perseverance, and trust in God’s timing. Prayer is always at the heart of our time together, and we use a variety of prayers to lift up our loved ones. At the end of each meeting, we invite you to add your loved ones’ names to our St. Monica Prayer Book.
