Do you want to make a physical mark on the world that helps other? Consider joining our Habitat for Humanity Build!

Every year the parish is part of a "coalition build" in which several churches in the area come together to help finance and build a home. Prior to the build, we meet as a group once to learn about what is expected and to meet one another.

This ministry is perfect for those sixteen and older who have a day to give back each year. St. Michael provides 70-workers over a 3-day period as part of the coalition build. (20 workers each Thursday and Friday and 30 Saturday.) Build days are approximately 6-8 hours in length. Volunteers must be able to take on physical labor outdoors.

Join us for an upcoming build to put the corporal work of mercy “shelter the homeless” into action!

HABITAT BUILD KICK-OFF EVENT

For over 25 years, St. Michael has been supporting Habitat for Humanity of Wake County!  The Habitat for Humanity Ministry is excited to announce that in the upcoming months, we will be collaborating with Mother Teresa Catholic Church and a coalition of other churches to build two homes, making the dream of affordable housing possible for two families.  The address for the build is 24 Kelley Meadows Drive, Knightdale, N.C. 27545.

Our commitment is a total of 6 workdays.  As you can see below, the number of volunteers needed is great!  If you are not able to help with the actual build, there is the opportunity to provide lunch for those working on the build.  Please prayerfully consider working on this important project whether it be helping with the actual build or providing meals (kids/families welcome to provide meals).   For more information, please email [email protected]
