Service Beakers Needs Your Help!

By Isaac Lund, StMS Class of 2019 alumnus and founder and president of Service Beakers

With Black Friday and Cyber Monday now behind us, many of you may be wondering what to do with your old devices. There is now a great option to donate your old or outdated devices to the Honduras Sister Parish – an effort led by me and a group of other St. Michael alumni called Service Beakers.

In March of 2022, our team will be the second group of teenagers to ever travel alongside the Honduras Mission group to Honduras – bringing with us a shipment of various, donated electronic essentials including laptops, PC’s, and more. The distribution of these devices to students and faculty will not only allow the underprivileged students to regain their education despite the disaster of the pandemic, but will ensure a future of infinite educational opportunities for the students near our Sister Parish.

At present, our team has raised slightly under $7,000 and has received 20+ devices to bring to Honduras next March. Ultimately, our goal is to raise $30,000 and 200 used devices, but we need your help to do that. Contributions can be made in either the form of donated devices (full list of eligible devices below) or financial support – either of which would be met with unending gratitude not only by our team but by the Honduran students who need your help now more than ever.

Financial donations can be made digitally through our GoFundMe or as checks written out to Service Beakers Inc. To donate any checks or used devices, please drop them off any day between Monday-Friday before 4:30 at the St. Michael’s Trinity Center (signs will direct you toward the proper place from there). I thank you all for the tremendous support in advance, and have a blessed Advent this year.

In Christ,

Isaac
