This will help us to assess the needs of families so we can best structure opportunities and support in a safe and effective way. We will use the results of this survey to determine the best formats and ways we can serve you. Thank you.
St. Michael offers a range of opportunities to help meet the needs of families through Formation, Sacramental and Service Opportunites, Leadership groups and social activities. Below you will find information on the different opportunities we have.
Catholic Life University.
Students enter their first year in Year 101, no matter what grade they are in. In Year 101, students take 4 credits. These credits are in the areas of Scripture, Tradition, Vocation and Apologetics. Each class is offered in either four 90-minute Sunday sessions or one daylong session, called Super Saturday.
If you are taking this year to fulfill your year 2 Confirmation credit, attendance is required.
Year 200 and above
After their first year (or for students who have already received Confirmation), students can enroll in 200 level classes and above.
Students may choose the classes they wish to take in the four areas of Scripture, Tradition, Vocation and Apologetics. Examples of classes we plan to offer this year are:
- Apologetics 220 SSA - Homosexuality and the Catholic Church
- Tradition 220 - 33 Days to Morning Glory, a Marian Consecration
- Scripture 220 - Acts of the Apostles - Why the Catholic Church?
- Vocation 220 - Discernment: How do I know God’s voice?
There will be other classes offered throughout the year; please check the calendars for details.
Challenge and Conquest
Challenge and Conquest are gender-based mentoring programs. In these programs, high school students mentor middle school students and each session includes prayer, saints, gospel, virtue and service. You can find more information on these programs at:
A weekly lectionary-based small group Bible Study meets Sundays at 11:15 am - 12:15 pm.
Opportunities for Confession and Adoration, in addition to weekly Mass attendance, are beautiful opportunities for our students to celebrate their Catholic faith. These opportunities are included in the Sunday 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm schedule and are offered at various times throughout the year. The list of dates below will be updated periodically.
St. Michael offers many service opportunities to students, including large and small group activities. The best way to be aware of these opportunities is to follow us on Facebook.
