Read and Feed
Read and Feed - Giving Kids an Appetite for Reading!
Beginning January 8th, St. Michael Parish will partner with Read and Feed to give elementary school children in our Hispanic community (Grades K-5) an appetite for reading by strengthening literacy skills and providing encouragement in a fun and nurturing environment. We will provide meals to eliminate hunger, mentors to help children read, and books to build home libraries.
This 13-week program will meet most Tuesdays from 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the St. Michael School Cafeteria.
TUTORS & VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Please consider making an impact in a child’s life by being a tutor or helping to prepare and/or serve meals. All volunteers will need to complete the Diocese Safe Environment Training, including background checks, and Read and Feed training on Wed., Dec. 5th 6:30 – 8:00 pm in the St. Michael School Cafeteria.
