General Parish Questions, Website Content Concerns or New Content Update Requests

OK, so you have a concern with content on this website, or you want to know how to go about placing content on this website or you have questions about our parish operations. Well you have come to the right place. Find how to get your answers below!

Concern with Content on the Site: If you have concerns about content you need to contact one of two groups. For concerns regarding corrections or accuracy of data, please send an email to webmaster@stmichaelcary.org. You don't even have to come back to this page. On all of our web pages the webmaster email address is accessible at the bottom of the page in the footer area.

However, if you have questions regarding general operations of the parish, such as how do I register or when does an event occur, you should contact the parish staff. The staff offers a convenient email address for you to contact them for such matters. That email address is office@stmichaelcary.org. This address is also accessible at the bottom of our pages.

Please attempt to use one of these two email addresses regarding your questions or concerns before calling the parish office. Chances are if these addresses aren't available via an email link at the bottom of the page, you have left our website via a link. Typically you will notice this by a new browser window opening. Unfortunately we can't help with concerns on such pages.

Getting content added to the website: To add content to the website whether it is an upcoming event you would like to highlight or basic ministry information, you should first understand our publishing process. Before content appears on the website for any ministry or other parish entity, it has to be approved by Norma Powers on the staff. You can proceed in one of two methods.

You can have the content approved by sending email to Norma(see email info) and then submit it to webmaster via email. The other option is to submit the content to webmaster before obtaining staff approval. If there is no indication in your forwarded email, ie a note from Norma indicating approval, the webmaster will forward the request to them for you.

In either case we have a window of publishing new content which we do weekly. Content approved by the staff and submitted to webmaster by Wednesday will be published between Friday and Monday of that week. Otherwise it should be published in the same window the following week. However, if there are concerns with your content, you will have to resolve them with the staff before we are able to publish the content.

Ministry volunteers, we have a standard template to help publish basic information for your initial ministry page. Please see any existing ministry pages for examples. Once you make updates, you can submit the content to webmaster.
